The Four Seasons by Antonio Vivaldi
The Four Seasons by Antonio Vivaldi is a set of four violin concertos composed in 1723. It is undoubtedly Vivaldi's most famous composition and one of the most performed musical works worldwide. This is a violin concerto in which a violin is accompanied by a chamber orchestra. The content of each concerto varies, evoking the respective season it represents. For example, winter features pizzicato notes on the high strings, reminiscent of icy rain, while summer evokes a storm in the final movement, prepared by thunder rumbling several times in the preceding movement.

The Four Seasons concertos were first published in 1725 as part of a collection of 12 concertos, Opus No. 8, under the theme "The Contest Between Harmony and Invention" (Il cimento dell’armonia e dell’inventione). The first four concertos were named The Four Seasons, each bearing the name of the corresponding season.

Hélios
Dynamic and eclectic, the Hélios orchestra has made a name for itself since its creation in 2014.

Its artistic director, Paul Savalle, promotes the professional integration of young musicians through orchestral practice. Thus, young graduates join experienced orchestral musicians, conductors, and soloists under optimal working conditions.

From Baroque to contemporary music, the programs are diverse. The repertoire is both symphonic and choral, as the orchestra collaborates with departmental and regional choirs.

Thanks to collaborations with various conductors, the musicians explore a rich repertoire, broadening their interpretative range. All are graduates of major French conservatories, with some members also part of national orchestras.

From string quartets to symphonic orchestras and brass ensembles, the orchestra continually expands its audience by adapting its composition. The string formation performs in picturesque venues unsuitable for symphonic orchestras, allowing audiences to discover a rich architectural heritage.

In summary, with its flexible structure, the Hélios orchestra approaches the broadest repertoire with passionate curiosity.

Church of the Madeleine

The parish of La Madeleine wishes to ensure a visible presence in the heart of Paris and to be attentive to our contemporaries. We speak of the base to describe the stone massifs that form the foundation of the church. But this base is also made of living stones made up of associations attentive to the wounded of life such as Ozanam Madeleine, the Espace Formation Informatique. The Foyer de la Madeleine serves more than three hundred meals every day at lunchtime with the aim of encouraging people to meet people who work or spend time in the neighbourhood.
