Performed by the musicians of Concerto Köln and the Dresdner Festspielorchester under the direction of Kent Nagano, this Siegfried is the fruit of years of research into what would be a historically informed reading of Wagner’s operas.

Launched in 2017, this interdisciplinary project of artistic and scientific research has allowed for a re-examination of a widely studied work, Wagner's Ring, in the most comprehensive way possible in order to offer, for the first time, a historically informed interpretation. Kent Nagano and his collaborators have thus focused on issues of pronunciation, orchestral conducting, instruments, and staging in Wagner's works. They apply their findings to the second day of the festival, Siegfried, which centers on the story of this grandson of Wotan who knows neither fear nor envy.

Grande salle Pierre Boulez - Philharmonie

The Grande salle Pierre Boulez (Symphonic Hall) boasts innovations in architecture, stage design and acoustical engineering. Thanks to a modular design, its capacity increases from 2400 people in the symphonic configuration to 3600 when the parterre is converted into a standing room area.

All five levels of the Grande salle Pierre Boulez are accessed via the entrance on Level 3 of Philharmonie, which can be reached via stairways, escalators and two lifts, with direct access from the Porte de Pantin plaza and the Philharmonie parking facility.

From the entrance, stairways and lifts inside the hall take visitors to the various levels.

The Grande Salle Pierre Boulez has thirty designated seats for people with reduced mobility.
