The duo of Janine Jansen and Denis Kozhukhin presents a program that features Brahms, a composer particularly dear to them, alongside a selection of 20th-century French chamber music works.

In recent years, the immense Dutch violinist, passionate about chamber music, and the Russian pianist, who won first prize at the 2010 Queen Elisabeth Competition in Belgium, have performed in all the major concert halls in Europe and the United States. Whether in a duo (most of the time) or in a quartet, Brahms is at the heart of their repertoire, which prominently features German Romantic music. The two sonatas dedicated to the violin and piano duo by the composer are complemented by three French works: in addition to Ravel's light Violin Sonata, there are two lesser-known pieces, Poulenc's Sonata and Messiaen's Theme and Variations, which was composed as a wedding gift for his wife in 1932.

Grande salle Pierre Boulez - Philharmonie

The Grande salle Pierre Boulez (Symphonic Hall) boasts innovations in architecture, stage design and acoustical engineering. Thanks to a modular design, its capacity increases from 2400 people in the symphonic configuration to 3600 when the parterre is converted into a standing room area.

All five levels of the Grande salle Pierre Boulez are accessed via the entrance on Level 3 of Philharmonie, which can be reached via stairways, escalators and two lifts, with direct access from the Porte de Pantin plaza and the Philharmonie parking facility.

From the entrance, stairways and lifts inside the hall take visitors to the various levels.

The Grande Salle Pierre Boulez has thirty designated seats for people with reduced mobility.
