Starting September 23, dance in an augmented dream at La Seine Musicale!

With Blanca Li 's Le Bal de Paris , virtual reality is revolutionizing the world of live performance and blurring the lines between spectators and dancers: anything is possible. Awarded "Best VR Experience" at the Venice Film Festival, this immersive creation combines dance, music, haute couture, and virtual reality in a show where the audience becomes the protagonist.

With headsets on their heads and sensors on their bodies, spectators— only twelve per session —are guided by professional dancers on a dreamlike choreographic journey. Between waltz and cancan, everyone is invited to join the dance and participate in the grand Paris ball, where vibrantly poetic tableaux follow one another for a festive, artistic, and spectacular experience! No need to be familiar with dance or virtual reality to immerse yourself in this ball, which will take you on a journey through different worlds.

For this immersive work, CHANEL created virtual costumes for the dancers and audience, extending its intimate connection to dance and contemporary creation. Before entering the ball, you will choose your outfit in a virtual boudoir, a dress or suit selected from the House's creations and reproduced in 3D.

It's a great love story divided into three acts that you'll experience with 11 other spectators. Two dancers playing the main roles in the plot will invite you, in turn, to a waltz or a can-can. You are free, according to your desires, to observe, dance, interact with the dancers, the other guests or join in the dance of this party that promises to be unforgettable. A universe as poetic as it is fantastic imagined by Blanca Li.

From Paris to Taiwan, via London, this hybrid show continues its international tour by settling in France at La Seine Musicale from September 23, 2025 for a limited number of sessions .

At the crossroads of technology, fashion and choreographic art, Blanca Li invites us to a timeless ball.

La Seine Musicale

La Seine Musicale is a music and performing arts center located on Île Seguin an island on the Seine river between Boulogne-Billancourt and Sèvres, in the western suburbs of Paris, France.

Adress:  La Seine Musicale, Île Seguin, 92100 Boulogne-Billancourt, France

Auditorium Patrick Devedjian

Nestled like a gem in a case of glass and wood, the Auditorium Patrick Devedjian is the centerpiece of our building. It can accommodate up to 1,150 spectators and is dedicated to acoustic music, featuring the greatest classical ensembles and musicians, foremost among them the resident orchestra: Insula orchestra.

Its appearance is open to interpretation: a bird's nest, a giant liner, "the ball"...

From the outside, its glass facade is protected and powered by a gigantic array of solar panels that moves in synchronization with the sun, overlooking the concrete liner.

From the inside, the 1,150-seat hall awakens our senses. Dedicated to classical music, jazz, and world music concerts, its light blonde wooden ceiling, cardboard tubes, and paper reveal all the secrets of the excellent acoustics of this stage.

Its Acoustics

Studied by the Nagata and Jean-Paul Lamoureux firm to ensure the best possible sound reproduction for the audience. All precautions have been taken to guarantee exceptional acoustics with the precision of a musical instrument.

Its Design

Modular, its vineyard-style arrangement creates a genuine proximity with the audience surrounding the artists. The interplay of lights, the beauty of materials (wood, mosaics, glass), and the 360° panorama are all designed to match the pleasure of the eyes with that of the ears.

Its design aims to create a sense of visual and acoustic intimacy shared between the audience and the musicians. The atmosphere of the hall is warm, with curved wooden walls and ceiling contributing to the hall’s unique sound identity. Access to the hall is provided on three levels by large suspended walkways offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. These are connected by large staircases forming a continuous promenade around the hall.
