A soloist par excellence and a wizard of sound with an infinite palette of colors, Arcadi Volodos explores in a tête-à-tête with his instrument, which lends itself to confidences, the most secret part of his favorite composers.

His remarkable abilities could have limited him to the most spectacular works: did he not dazzle in his early days with his electric virtuosity? On the contrary, the Russian pianist has been devoted for many years to the intimate side of the scores he performs, particularly those of Schubert and Brahms. His transcendent technique, which manifests as a wide range of timbres, nuances, and touches, can reveal a part of their mystery. A demanding artisan in an endless quest for the truth of the works, Arcadi Volodos is among those few keyboard magicians who make the recital a rare moment, which usually concludes with a generous series of encores rewarding the attentive listener.

Grande salle Pierre Boulez - Philharmonie

The Grande salle Pierre Boulez (Symphonic Hall) boasts innovations in architecture, stage design and acoustical engineering. Thanks to a modular design, its capacity increases from 2400 people in the symphonic configuration to 3600 when the parterre is converted into a standing room area.

All five levels of the Grande salle Pierre Boulez are accessed via the entrance on Level 3 of Philharmonie, which can be reached via stairways, escalators and two lifts, with direct access from the Porte de Pantin plaza and the Philharmonie parking facility.

From the entrance, stairways and lifts inside the hall take visitors to the various levels.

The Grande Salle Pierre Boulez has thirty designated seats for people with reduced mobility.
